Hello… I am a single mother of 5 children under the age of 9. First I would like to say I have never done drugs of any kind my entire life and married my first love, my only love. My husband (the father to all 5 kids) walked out and left us with nothing. Our home foreclosed and my children and myself have nothing. He was there oneday and gone the next. I have no work history nor any skill except raising kids. The judge ordered my ex to pay child support and he has yet to be found. Within the last six months I earned my G.E.D. and applied for college. My children would love to have a bedroom so if anyone in Arkansas knows where or how to get a home please let me know.

Its sad when youve tried all your life to accomplish everything, you meet supposeably the person of your dreams, have a family, person wlks out because thing are tough, you keep fighting, to make things better, and you get frustrated an fail, this person never pays child support even though theres a courtorder. This person gets everything handed to them , meanwhile my children and i do without, unless i work three jobs , and im not happy because i love to spend quality time with them , they feel cheated and so do i. its been fourteen hard years , but, i am the proudest parent to have our children, i love you so much kids, so proud of you! looking forward to the help and knowledge , support.

I am newly divorced and have 3 children and now a grandchild, I am trying to apply for section 8 but they are not accepting applications what are my other options? I do not mind being put on a waiting list but I can’t even get my foot in the door. I work three jobs looking for a fourth to help out but rent is so terribly expensive for a 3 bedroom place. I do not want to move into the areas they have for low income as for my children will be home alone quit a bit and that spells trouble. Please advise

January 16th, 2012 - 21:47
I am a of 3 living in my mothers home. Been there off and on, back and forth and I am really tired of it. We don’t have the greatest relationship and the fact of me having my children there aren’t a help. My children say to me all the time, mom “why don’t you have your own house yet?” And all I can say is “we will don’t worry , we will.” And I worried that it’ll never happen due to me be unsuccessful with better paying job.

i am a single parent of a nine year old daughter, recently lost my job but in the process of looking for full-time or part-time work. im looking for a place with a single mother to share in the philadelphia area. i dont have much income at the moment but im going to court this month for increase in child support but i do receive food stamps that cold help with groceries. i can cook , clean just looking for someone who is open as i am. my living situation right now is surfaced with drama with other people and i dont want it to influence my child with negativity. we share a bedroom which feel clustered at times with both of our belongings. we feel caged in due to outside drama in which i refuse to subject my daughter to. if there is any help or resource that can farther assist me please let me know asap or my other choice will have to be a shelter. unfortunately i have to make a move soon. thanks in advance

Just moved to Missouri and need help in finding a place for me and my 2 kids. We don’t have a place of our own.

I’m a single mother of 1 and we are need of a place to live by Feb 1st. I’m not currently working and receive only child support, no other assistance. The father really doesn’t have a part in her life, and I don’t have babysitters or any help. I’ve been trying to figure this on my own and I need help and don’t know where to turn. I live on the cape right now, and I’m not sure where to contact. I don’t have a license at the moment, so I’m stuck in a big pickle..thank you for any help.

I’m a single young mother of 3,I have no family to turn to. My children and I have been unstable for awhile now. I have no job,I’m very interested in going back to finished my GED and going to college. I’ve been doing the best I can for my children, all by myself. My babies deserve the best and I’m not going to give up,regardless! They are a blessing to have and get to experience the joy of being a mother. I’ve been trying to get help from different kinds of organizations, but haven’t had any luck. I have a 1300 dollar power bill that makes it harder for me. I feel like I don’t have a chance with section 8. Sometimes I just don’t know what to do. I just keep a positive attitude and have faith! I JUST WANT TO GIVE THEM THE WORLD.

to whom it may concern, my name is denise and i have been a single mother since the age of 17. Life has not been easy, however until now i have seemed to manage through hard work and dedication to my children. I am in a little bit of a pickle now . I fought to live in a bug free apt and took them to court based on the principle that no one should be forced to live with cockroaches and pay 800.00 in the ghetto! My efforts were futile since icould not afford a lawyer. I lost my case and gained an eviction because of it. I am desperate to find a safe home for me andy youngest daughter. If there is a resources direct link or a real person who can help me please leave a posting. I have been filling out what seems to be endless avenues that end up leading to free trial offers and no immediate help. Thank you for taking the time to read and help
